About Ursa Minors

In November 2023, WAA created Ursa Minors, the club's youth outreach division.  The goal of the Ursa Minors is to bring eyes to eyepieces and ignite people's passions in astronomy. Through Ursa Minors, the WAA reaches hundreds every year and introduces many to the world of astronomy. By helping with Ursa Minors, you can bring astronomy to the next generation and beyond.

All of our lectures/presentations are available to livestream from anywhere in the world, via our live-streaming platform. We have members from all over the world, from Westchester and Putnam counties, to Alexandria, VA, to the UK and beyond.

Created by Vice President for Membership and Chief Confectionary Officer Eva Anderson, these cookies appear at many WAA events and when they arrive, they mysteriously disappear soon after...
